What was a bold step we took in 2009 as a strategy into consulting business is taking shape and tiding with time blending into HR Tech. For sure, what was a niche market we eyed and service we designed, going forward, is moulding with time and servicing the need of today’s business in people management.
Articulating BuildHr’s Vision, as Founders, we are crystal clear on WHY we are in this business, WHAT will be the strategy to achieve our purpose, WHICH are the services we will offer, WHOM will the service be targeted at, WHO will be part of the dream team, HOW will we grow.
WHY in Business
BuildHr, still sees a distinct gap in the consulting business as such reaching out to the SME’s, Start Up’s and FMB’s apart from large organizations, who wants specialized consulting in the areas of people management. Engaging consultants is still a luxury for a major segment of businesses contributing to the GDP. The opportunity rests in, not many qualified professionals wanted to work in this segment, assumptions being pay is not attractive, social brand is not visible, process and systems will not be established, people practice is not entrusted to the professionals.
WHAT – Strategy
Offer proven business models in a simple comprehensible unit. Unique Selling Proposition (USP) is in demonstrating excellence through implementation. Provide complete people management solutions rather than compartmental services of HR with no business relevance. Understand the pain of the promotors and offer professional advisory services. Position the Founder Director’s personal credibility as a family to address family managed business complexities.
WHICH – Services
Improving people productivity, managing performance through review, feedback, building HR processes and establishing robust systems using HR Tech, BuildHr will focus to offer as prime services. Will not venture into commoditized market of recruitment, statutory services unless we provide a Value-Added Proposition where the service stands out beyond carrying out a given tasks.
WHOM to Target
The Why (Purpose) of BuildHr leads to the Whom (target). Where there is a need for cost effective services (not cheap), breaking down complex process to simple set of actions, where experience and expertise is not within the reach, where people management is a concern and looking to set right the processes from the beginning, BuildHr aims at that target group which is grouped as SME’s (looking for affordable services) , Start Up’s (wanting to set right processes from the beginning), FMB’s (want professional services to address family dynamics, pain points in managing emotions, transition to professional leadership team) and large enterprises (wanting specialized people improvement services).
WHO – Team
To translate our Vision, will pick people who want to collaborate and WORK IN TEAMS, be CREATIVE in approach, exhibit PROFESSIONALISM in all transactions, Be HONEST to self and be ever-ready to put in HARD WORK. Create opportunities and support young talent to make believe ‘YES WE CAN’.
HOW – Growth
BuildHr believes that growth is not single dimension. We will ‘deliver beyond’ with our service, always aim at process excellence, build individuals capability, facilitate team achievements and polish leadership capability. Wealth creation will be seen in terms of knowledge which will not depreciate and of course wealth to raise standard of healthy living. Business means nothing without governance and giving back to the society.
